UPDATE ON MY BROTHER DAN
Surgery yesterday morning. Took about 4 hrs. Surgery was successful… rather large mass & kidney were removed. His spleen is slightly bruised because it was up against the mass but no other damage seen. Because of his AFIB he is in ICU to monitor. They will be monitoring everything to determine when best/safe to restart his blood thinner. He's still a little out of it, but all looks good considering...
May move him to regular room this evening. He'll prob be in hosp til wkend at least. If all's well he can go home to recover. Est 6-8 wks min with restrictions. There will be some home nursing & doc appts involved thru out to continue monitoring his A-Fib, blood, meds & healing.
Thank God they didn't have to take spleen or anything else. No excess bleeding. Given antibiotics throughout surgery so risk of any infection is very unlikely. Thank you Jesus! Amen & Hallelujah!
Next up surgery for abdominal aortic aneurysm... but Dan gets a couple months to rest & build up before that happens.
My family and I want to thank all of you for your prayers & support. I truly believe by your prayers & the love of God things have gone so much better than expected for Dan. Even the doctors are impressed. I praise and thank the Lord for His love, His guidance, His Healing light in all that happened. I thank God for you. You don't know how much it means to all of us. My brother is so very grateful. We feel your prayers, especially during the toughest times & we see the results. It has been miraculous! May God bless & lift up each & everyone & fulfill your needs according to His will, which only brings good to all. His love prevails! Thank you & God bless, Catherine
